"Mrs. General John Bidwell had organized a school for the Indians of their Rancheria in 1875. Ten years later, because of failing health, she transferred her school to the Board of Foreign Missions, and twenty five dollars were pledged, through the Occidental Board, for a teacher. For three years it remained under the Foreign Board. "
Page 39 contained an article titled, "Liquor Traffic and Missions" by Anne K. Bidwell.
